Your contributions will help us provide travel fellowships for students, start-up grants for faculty members, state-of-the-art labs, amenities for visitors, training programmes for the community and many more. A small percentage (~5%) of this contribution may be deducted for administrative/overhead expenses.



Tax Information

Contributors in India

  • Contributions made towards scientific research to the Indian Institute of Science are exempted under Section 35(1)(ii) of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
  • IISc is also exempted from the provision of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976 as per Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs letter No.II/21022/14(3)94-FCRA.I Dated 23rd December 1994.
  • Contributors in North America

    Contributions from alumni and donors in North America can be made to the IISc Alumni Association of North America (IISc AANA). Contributions to IISc AANA are eligible for tax exemption under the Internal Revenue Code, USA. IISc AANA is a 501(c)(3) registered organization.
